AL-MUSTAPHA CONTINUES HIS THANK-YOU TOUR

 

Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer to the Late Nigerian tyrant, Sani Abacha, was in Kaduna today to pay homage to the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris and the cleric, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi.

As at 3.30pm when he left Sheikh Gumi’s residence , P.M.News gathered he was to proceed to another cleric’s house, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi and from there to General Muhammadu Buhari’s residence for a-thank-you visit

Al-Mustapha, who spoke to some journalists briefly at the residence of Sheikh Gumi thanked his supporters and the court for releasing him from prison at this critical period.

“My release is a victory for democracy, Whoever seeks justice seeks peace . I am emotional, I can’t grant interview”.
He expressed optimism that the peace that has eluded the country over the years will soon become history.
He urged Nigerians to pray and believe that God will restore lasting peace .
On his state of health, he said ” I have been medically tested and I am hail and hearty”.
Mustapha was incarcerated for about 15 years and charged with conspiracy to murder Kudirat Abiola. A Lagos High Court sentenced him to death. But on 12 July, A Federal Appeal court discharged and acquitted him.
